- 1 batch Nana’s Simple Chocolate Cake batter (with boiled water replaced by stout beer; do not boil beer)
Whisky Glaze
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup Irish whisky
White Chocolate Irish Cream Ganache
- 2 cups white chocolate chips
- 2/3 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/4 cup Irish cream liqueur
Irish Whisky Buttercream Frosting
- 1 pound (4 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature
- 2 cups confectioners sugar, sifted
- 6 to 8 ounces Irish whisky (to taste)
