- 1 1/2 cup – granulated sugar
- 1 cup – unsalted butter, softened
- 2 – eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 3/4 cups + 2 tablespoon -Sifted Swans Down Cake Flour
- 2 teaspoons – cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon – baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon – salt
- 1/3 cup – sugar
- 2 teaspoons – cinnamon
PREHEAT oven to 400°.
SIFT SWANS DOWN Cake Flour, lightly spoon needed quantity into measurement cup.
IN a large bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time then add vanilla.
IN a separate bowl, sift together SWANS DOWN, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt, blend well. Slowly add flour mixture to butter mixture and blend well.
COMBINE 1/3 cup sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon in a small saucer.
FORM dough into 1” balls and roll into cinnamon sugar. Place on a well buttered cookie sheet about 2” apart.
BAKE at 400° for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack immediately to cool. Store covered at room temperature.
I just made this recipe and they tasted great but it made 3 dozen not 1 dozen. I wondered as the ingredients seemed like a lot for a dozen cookies!

I have enjoyed making sugar cookies for the holidays
This flour is the best. Makes wonderful pound cakes. But to make other cakes it’s good for those too. Will not let you down.
I have never try swan down cake flour before or any cake flour before .I would not know how to use it , but I going to try , wish me luck
